Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the F-22 GTE Services Team seek a Mid-Level Training Device Technician (Maintenance) to support our Sheppard AFB, TX site. This 100% onsite role requires working at the Texas facility and delivering hands-on maintenance for F-22 training devices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in electrical, mechanical, paint, machine or aircraft maintenance
  • 3+ years of avionics/electronic equipment maintenance
  • 3+ years troubleshooting and repairing computing system hardware/software
  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft ground equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provide F-22 training device maintenance services at Sheppard AFB, TX.
  • Assist in repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and modification of F-22 MTD components, devices, hardware and software.
  • Perform detailed inspections for pre/post operations and verify component status prior to installation.
  • Consult with engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate mechanical/electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Perform functional tests of training device systems and monitor instrumentation and indicators.
  • Maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software and components.
  • Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives and assess production readiness.
  • Document work via engineering planning documents and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer interface skills, both oral and written.

Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the F-22 GTE Services Team are seeking a Mid-Level Training Device Technician (Maintenance) to support our team in Sheppard AFB, TX.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Sheppard AFB, Texas facility.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide F-22 training device maintenance services at Sheppard AFB, TX.
  • Assists in repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of F-22 Maintenance Training Device (MTD) components, devices, hardware and software.
  • Performs detailed inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling. Inspect components and LRU's to verify status prior to installation.
  • Consults with engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs functional test of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and indicators.
  • Performs a multi-disciplined range of technical systems applications and activities.
  • Installs, configures and maintains multi-platform systems hardware, software and components.
  • Ensuring systems conform to architectural objectives.
  • Evaluates complex system’s production readiness and supportability.
  • Documents work by engineering planning documents and/or technical manuals.
  • Excellent customer interface skills and communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Must be able to work independently, one-on-one, and in a team setting.
  • Logistics, administrative and other collateral duties necessary to maintain F-22 maintenance training devices are also required.
Security Clearance

An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, paint, machine maintenance, or aircraft maintenance position
  • 3+ years of experience with maintenance of avionics and/or electronic equipment
  • 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting and repairing computing system hardware and software
  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft ground equipment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Experience operating F-22 unique equipment (AGE – Aircraft Ground Equipment), to include experience with:

Polyalphaolefin coolant (PAO)

CartHydraulic Test StandStore Energy System (SES)

CartNitrogen Carrt.

  • Experience with maintenance of the F-22 aircraft
