Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Training Coordinator to deliver customer-centered workforce training services and educate program participants. You will work under the Project Director, coordinating with providers and Career Advisors to advance participant opportunities.

You will develop partnerships, verify training information, manage referrals, and track progress toward team targets while maintaining confidentiality and strong problem-solving skills. This role is onsite in Snohomish County, WA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
  • Possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make well‑thought‑out decisions
  • Must be computer literate and have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment - must have excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate participants towards achieving goals
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required
  • Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressureA Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary liaison with training providers to develop new and nurture existing provider partnerships
  • Educate participants to the advantages of training and upskilling to broaden employment opportunities
  • Ensure approved and current information regarding the Eligible Training Provider’s List is available to program participants and staff
  • Maintain and disseminate approved vendor information and performance outcomes to staff and participants
  • Facilitate group and individual assessment, eligibility and training information sessions for program participants
  • Participate in the assessment of participant marketability skills to determine training suitability and referrals
  • Review participant training needs and high priority occupations to identify aligned career pathways
  • Assist with the completion and review of individual training account packets
  • Provide timely reports for Career Advisors including pipeline and training programs
  • Consult with Career Advisors on support services to achieve outcomes
  • Maintain detailed documentation in state systems per requirements
  • Support off-site events
  • Track progress for targets using platforms and databases
  • Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks

TITLE: Training Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Project Director

LOCATION: Snohomish County, WA

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Employee

Career Team is looking to hire a Training Coordinator who will be responsible for providing customer-centered services designed to educate, enhance and provide workforce development training services to program participants. Work is performed under the supervision of the Project Director.

  • Facilitate group and individual assessment, eligibility and training information sessions for program participants to explore potential training opportunities
  • Participate in the assessment of participant marketability skills to determine training suitability and facilitate appropriate referral
  • Review participant training needs, industry hiring patterns and high priority occupations to assist with career exploration and the identification of aligned career pathways
  • Assist with the completion and review of individual training account packets to ensure all necessary documents are present and in compliance with training requirements
  • Provide timely reports for Career Advisors to include pipeline of potential training candidates, available training programs, and training providers
  • Consult with Career Advisors as to support services necessary to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all contacts in the state’s system of record per contact requirements
  • Support off-site events
  • Track progress for individual and team targets using appropriate platforms and databases
  • Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks
  • Strong business acumen
  • Approach each day and task with a solutions-oriented and responsive mindset
  • Participate in all staff-related events as required
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Salary

$54,500 - $57,000/yr

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Career Team offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time.

Travel

Travel for this role is primarily limited to necessary trips within Snohomish County to support career seekers.
