This position is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programming designed to support ongoing professional and career development of staff from entry level to senior leader. This position will actively support Charlotte Water’s strategic training and development programs and initiatives. The Training Specialist will coordinate and instruct staff across all divisions within the utility.
The successful candidate will possess strong customer service, organizational, and leadership skills and have experience developing and implementing training initiatives and curricula. The candidate will be highly self-motivated and require minimal coaching or supervision, demonstrate the ability to lead in a team environment, be results-oriented, customer-focused, and be a creative problem solver. The ideal candidate will demonstrate engaging training and facilitation skills that meet the needs of our internal customers.
The salary for this position is $82,883 - $92,092.99 commensurate with experience.
The work is sedentary and requires occasionally exerting up to 25 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: manual dexterity, perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels, distinguishing among sounds, mental acuity, speaking, standing, expressing ideas by spoken word, shouting above noises, visual acuity in data/observations/equipment, and walking.
