Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) seeks a Training and Certification Manager to oversee training programs, certifications, and compliance within the Authority Operations Center. You will deliver standardized training, develop custom programs, and train staff on CHART topics and related systems.
The role includes managing the CHART Reporting Tool, budgeting, and cross‑functional coordination with MDTA HR and Operations training units. Travel to MDTA facilities is required as needed.

The Training and Certification Manager oversees the management, administration, and compliance assurance of training and certification within the Authority Operations Center (AOC) at MDTA.
Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Employees in this position will report directly to the Authority Operations Center Manager.
The current vacancy is located in Baltimore, MD.
This work requires the operation of electronic traffic detection and communications systems. Employees are considered “Safety Sensitive” and may be required to work shifts that include evenings, nights and weekends based on the operational training needs for staff on rotating schedules. This position requires travel to regional MDTA facilities to perform essential duties.

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work. **Two years of this experience must include working inside a traffic management center with active involvement in daily operations along with training, mentoring, or onboarding staff on procedures, software, and emergency response protocols.
