Job summary

City of Lincoln seeks a Trainer to lead in-person training, create content, and coordinate courses under the Director of Training and Staff Development to boost employee performance in line with our core values.

This role requires travel between Spring Valley and Brooklyn, 2+ years in training and content development, and healthcare experience preferred. You will manage logistics, track attendance, and administer exams to ensure effective program delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of training or teaching experience.
• 2+ years of instructional content development.
• Healthcare background preferred.
• Medicare/Medicaid and managed care understanding.
• Familiarity with e-learning tools, virtual platforms, and LMS preferred.
• Handle administrative tasks such as sign-in sheets and distributing materials.
• Complete and finalize training content for staff across departments, including final build and voiceovers.
• Participate in Absorb course testing before company-wide distribution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all onboarding and non-orientation training programs. travel to Spring Valley and Brooklyn offices.
• Facilitate role-specific and refresher training across departments, in-person and virtual formats.
• Coordinate and set up training sessions with all logistics, materials, and resources.
• Track attendance and engagement and maintain records of training participation.
• Track progress of new-hire trainees.
• Send 30/60/90-day and 120-day evaluation emails per SOP cadence.
• Update the Completed Training Spreadsheet with survey activity.
• Own survey-row input.
• Manage classroom professionalism and conduct.
• Administer and score all training exams.
• Ensure weekly HR communication for final class rosters.
• Update completions, exam scores, and absences in the spreadsheet.
• Submit print requests for classes.

Job Overview:

The Trainer, under the guidance of the Director of Training and Staff Development, is responsible for in- person training, content creation, and course coordination. This role is responsible for enhancing the competencies of employees by creating and conducting in person training programs that will boost the employee’s workplace performance in alignment with the company’s core values.

• Deliverall onboarding and non- orientation training programs. Be expected to travel to both the Spring Valley and the Brooklyn office.
• Facilitate role specific and refresher training programs for staff across multiple departments, with a focus on both in-person and virtual formats.
• Ability to break down Medicaid/ Medicare and managed care content
• Coordinate and set up training sessions, ensuring all logistics, materials, and resources are in place.
• Track attendance and engagement while maintaining accurate records of training participation and completion.
• Track the new-hire trainees' progress.
• Send 30/60/90-day and 120-day evaluation survey emails per SOP cadence. Update the Completed Training Spreadsheet with survey activity.
• Ensure timely roll out of 120-day survey email to employees and supervisors.
• Update and maintain the Completed Training Spreadsheet with survey activity to compile data for analysts.
• Own Survey- row input.
• Manage classroom professionalism and conduct.
• Administer and score all training exams.
• Ensure weekly communication with HR to obtain the final class roster prior to each of their training class rollouts.
• Update and maintain completions, exam scores, and absences in the Completed Training spreadsheet for their own classes.
• Submit Print requests for their own classes.

Experience, Education & Licenses:

• 2+ years training or teacher experience.
• 2+ years instructional content development.
• Healthcare background preferred.
• Medicare/ Medicaid and managed care understanding.
• Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools, Virtual platforms, and/or learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
• Handle administrative tasks, such as managing sign-in sheets, distributing materials, and coordinating with office management.
• Complete and finalize training content for staff across multiple departments, with a focus on both in-person and virtual formats, including final build and absorb voiceovers.
• Participate in internal testing of courses and curricula in Absorb before company-wide distribution.

Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Can handle full training day conduction including standing and presenting materials for hours at a time.
• hands-on experience in a classroom setting.
• Ability to deliver in person.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Demonstration content build ability.
• Strong communication skills to support interdepartmental collaboration, written correspondence, meetings, and issue resolution; contributes to training material development and facilitates training.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple concurrent content builds and training deliveries.
