Job summary

STP Nuclear Operating Company seeks a Trainee Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) who will participate in the License Operator Training (LOT) Class and work toward passing the NRC SRO exam. The role develops leadership, performance management, and technical skills for supervisory responsibilities, with a path to an SRO license.

Successful candidates should progress through the LOT program, spend time at the facility, and meet training and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Two years power plant experience in relevant categories required.
• Active NRC license as reactor operator or senior reactor operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the LOT Class and Licenses Operator Training.
• Demonstrates leadership, performance management and technical skills for supervisory duties.
• Completes all requirements to obtain NRC SRO license and maintains position qualifications.
• Effectively communicates with control room team and plant personnel to manage operations.
• Accepts outage and ERO positions and meets response requirements.
