Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures seeks a Trainee-DOT to join our team as a Route Delivery Driver trainee. You will learn all aspects of delivering, unloading, and merchandising products to various accounts along a designated route, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes pre/post-trip inspections, efficient driving, inventory management, and strong customer service to ensure accurate deliveries and positive store relationships.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL required; Class A preferred.
  • Pass a DOT physical prior to first day.
  • 1–2 years of commercial driving experience with CDL preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to perform basic financial calculations.
  • Excellent organization and time-management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre/post-trip inspections per DOT requirements.
  • Drive a truck with GVWR around 26,000+ lbs.
  • Unload products and ensure proper check-in procedures.
  • Stock shelves, racks, coolers, and displays with proper rotation.
  • Break down boxes and remove empty cases for credits.
  • Obtain signatures, store stamps, and invoices for end-of-day settlements.
  • Communicate issues to store personnel and management.
  • Follow DOT and FMCSA regulations; perform other duties as assigned.

We’d love to receive your application and talk with you about your interest in the position if the overview below describes you.Trainee-DOT Role OverviewThe Trainee DOT is primarily responsible for learning all aspects of a Route Delivery Driver role, including the safe and efficient operation of the delivery vehicle.
