Job summary

QIMA in the United States is seeking a Trainee Auditor to develop as a SMETA auditor and pursue CSCA status through APSCA. This paid role provides training and mentorship across social compliance, sustainability, and auditing, with real audit exposure.

You will conduct social compliance audits at supplier sites, travel internationally up to 80%, and prepare clear audit reports while collaborating with factory teams and maintaining integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, sustainability, CSR, or related field.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, communication, interviewing, and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct social compliance and environmental audits at supplier sites, including announced and unannounced audits.
• Assess compliance with SMETA standards, client procedures and local regulations.
• Evaluate labor rights, health and safety, environment, and ethics.
• Identify violations and document audit findings with evidence and observations.
• Prepare clear, accurate audit reports for clients.
• Travel internationally and interact professionally with management and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and QA across audit projects.
