Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Rail/Locomotive Operator in Michigan for safe operation of trains and railcars. You will operate remote control locomotives, couple and align drawbars, apply hand brakes, and ride railcars while maintaining clear communication with crews and yard controllers.

The role requires adherence to FRA regulations and accurate documentation, with duties expanding as needed. Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to report to work within 90 minutes.
• Clean driving record in the past 36 months.
• Must not have been involved in diversion or probation or pleaded guilty to a drug or alcohol-related driving incident.
• Must pass pre-employment FRA drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions (Preferred).
• Experience with heavy equipment or in physically demanding roles (Preferred).
