Job summary

Great Western Trailer invites skilled Trailer Technicians to join our Dearborn, MI facility. You will inspect and repair semi-trailers, install add-on components, perform welding, and file service reports to ensure quality and safety.

We seek reliable, detail-oriented team players with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work overtime. Valid tools and transportation are required; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own a personal set of hand tools (except in California).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with semi-trailer equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair semi-trailers, including brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and more.
• Install and replace add-on components such as toolboxes, winches, and ramp kits.
• Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
• Complete service reports and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
