Salary: $30.25 - $34.25/hour
Shift
SECOND: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM | Monday - Friday | $1 Shift Differential Included

Responsibilities
Trailer Technicians perform maintenance services, ensuring work volume and quality meet Dayton Freight Lines standards. Responsibilities include:
- Repairing and rebuilding components on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers, including:
- Suspension and running gear
- Landing gear
- Wheel and tire components
- Brakes and air systems
- Electrical, lighting, wiring
- Rear frame and door components
- Sides, nose, roof, interior, and floors
- Performing Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
- Maintaining welding and metal fabrication skills
- Performing service calls
- Washing and fueling equipment as needed
- Road testing vehicles to verify repairs (dependent on CDL)
- Interacting professionally with colleagues
- Assisting junior technicians
- Maintaining shop, grounds, and equipment
- Ensuring a safe, OSHA-compliant environment
- Recording work and labor in EMS system
- Coordinating with Parts Department for materials
- Complying with EPA, DOT, and safety standards
- Performing additional maintenance duties as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a drug screen
