Job summary

Quality Truck Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician/Trailer Mechanic to perform DOT and PM inspections on trailers and to repair or replace worn parts in a clean, modern shop.

You will work with a supportive team in a family-owned company that values skilled craftsmen and offers growth, training, and appreciation. The role requires strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities, welding/fabrication experience, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills are essential.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, or trailer repair preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform DOT and preventive maintenance inspections on trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair brake, air, electrical (lighting, ABS) and suspension systems.
  • Weld and fabricate steel and aluminum trailer components.
  • Complete work orders and service documentation accurately.
  • Handle on-site service calls when needed.
  • Keep work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Work professionally with customers, drivers and team members.

Position Summary:

Correctly perform DOT & PM Inspections on trailers. Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, including brakes, air system, electrical system and suspension components. Perform welding and fabrication repairs. Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

What We’re Looking For
