J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service and repair on trailers. Under routine supervision, you will troubleshoot issues and ensure equipment meets company standards.

The role requires hands-on skills in fuel systems, batteries, engines, drive trains, onboard computers, transmissions and air brakes, with potential bonuses based on profitability and volumes.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance and repair experience or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of DOT and FHWA inspections, air brakes experience.
• Own basic tools or participate in toolbox purchase program.
• Able to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights or weekends.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment per specs.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and complete repairs within standard repair times.
• Assist onboarding and mentoring of trailer technician trainees.
• Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturer training for OE repairs.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication.
• Interact with customers and J.B. Hunt personnel professionally.
