Koch Companies is seeking a Trailer Tech II with Body Repair experience to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on trailer units in alignment with Koch Companies and DOT standards. The role focuses on inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across tires, lights, bodywork, suspension, electrical systems, and more. Schedule: M–F 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Advanced maintenance and repairs on trailer units.

Responsibilities

DOT Compliance: ensure regulatory inspections and repairs.
Brake system: inspections and maintenance (air and electric).
Air ride system troubleshooting and repairs.
Landing gear repairs.
Structural repairs: roof and floor work.
Door repairs: roll-up and swing door replacement.
Liftgate service: inspection and repairs.
Electrical repairs: trailer wiring and ABS sensor work.
Basic reefer/heater maintenance and preventative care.
Order parts as needed from parts department or use on site.

Job description

We're looking for a Trailer Tech II with Body Repair experience to join our team! In this role, The Trailer Tech II performs advanced maintenance and repairs on trailer units in compliance with Koch Companies and DOT standards. This role focuses on inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across tires, lights, bodywork, suspension, electrical systems, and more. You will work independently, maintain a safe work environment, and represent Koch Companies with professionalism.

Hiring Range: $27.00 - $38.00 commensurate with experience

Schedule: M - F 7 am to 3:30 pm

What You'll Do

DOT Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal regulations, conducting regular inspections and repairs.
Brake System: Adjustments and Inspections (Air and Electric), Full Air Brake Replacement (Shoes, Pads, Drums), Air Brake Troubleshooting (Valves, Chambers, Air Lines)
Air Ride System Troubleshooting & Repairs
Landing Gear Repairs
Structural Repairs: Roof Patching, Floor Repairs (Wood/Composite)
Door Repairs: Roll-Up and Swing Door Replacement
Liftgate Service: Component Inspection and Repairs
Electrical Repairs: Trailer Wiring Issues (Lights, ABS), ABS Sensor Replacement
Basic Reefer/Heater Maintenance: Preventative Maintenance, Battery, Belts, Alternator
Order Necessary parts from the parts Department or use parts on site
