Job summary

SA Recycling LLC in St. Louis is seeking a dedicated Trailer Technician to repair, maintain, and inspect our fleet of trailers and containers. You will diagnose brake, suspension, hydraulic, and electrical systems and perform routine PM services in varying weather.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, a diesel tech certificate or 1 year trailer service experience, welding skills, and the ability to pass drug, physical, and background checks. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
Diesel tech training certificate or 1 year trailer service experience preferred.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and welding skills (stick and MIG).
Must pass drug screen, physical and background check.
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

Conducts basic to moderately complex diagnostic, troubleshooting, and service tasks for brake, suspension, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Assist with routine PM services on tractors per manufacturer and company recommendations.
Performs structural repairs on trailer chassis, sub-frames, and containers.
Patches holes in trailers/containers as needed.
Maintains accurate records of all work performed.
Performs annual DOT inspections and sign-offs.
Communicates and works well with others in a safe and professional manner.
Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly working area.
