Job summary
Amerit Fleet Solutions in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet trailers. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document work orders to keep vehicles running reliably.

Qualifications
- 2+ years hands-on experience performing class 7-8 trailer maintenance and repairs.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to meet physical demands; able to pass pre-employment screenings including DOT if required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on fleet trailers.
- Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.
- Document repairs and complete work orders accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper tool care.
- Follow safety procedures and cooperate with the fleet team.
