Job summary

Great Western Trailer is seeking skilled Trailer Technicians for our Oklahoma City, OK facility. We provide weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, 401K, and PTO; join a growing team that values your skills and dedication.

You will inspect, repair, and fabricate for semi trailers, using a range of hand tools and power tools. A strong mechanical background and willingness to work overtime are required to ensure safety and quality in all work performed.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own a personal set of hand tools (except in California).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with semi trailer equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools safely.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair semi trailers including brakes wiring bodywork lift gates and more.
• Install and replace add on components such as toolboxes winches and ramp kits.
• Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
• Complete service reports and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Trailer Technician Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair semi trailers including brakes wiring bodywork lift gates and more

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid drivers license a plus but not required
• 3 years of experience in semi trailer repairs
• Certified brake and FHWA inspector or ability to obtain certification
• Industry certifications such as ASE or welding certification
• Bilingual Spanish is a valuable asset
