Job summary

C.R. England, a leader in trucking and fleet maintenance, is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to diagnose engine problems, troubleshoot electrical and air systems, and perform preventive maintenance on our large fleet. You will conduct bumper-to-bumper repairs and contribute to safety and reliability in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Job qualifications may include 1 year tractor/heavy equipment experience and ability to provide own tools.
• Understanding of diesel engine function and EGR/emissions knowledge.
• Knowledge of DC electrical systems, brakes, and basic diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engine problems and troubleshoot electrical and air system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and bumper-to-bumper repairs on fleet.
• Handle administrative work related to work performed.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00

Job requirements may include, but not limited to:

• Diagnose engine problems
• Troubleshoot electrical problems
• Troubleshoot air system problems
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Bumper to bumper repairs
• Some interior repairs
• Correct any structural repairs on the company’s fleet
• Administrative work in regards to work performed.

Job qualifications may include, but not limited to:

• 1 year tractor/heavy equipment mechanical experience and the ability to provide own tools
• Education/certifications are a plus. Years spent on education does count towards years of experience
• Understanding of diesel engine function
• General knowledge of EGR/emissions control systems
• General knowledge of foundation, air, and ABS brake systems
• General knowledge of DC electrical systems
• Experience with Freightliners or Detroit Engines a plus
• Experience with chassis’ and drivelines a plus
• Experience with hubs and wheel seals a plus
• Experience with air conditioning systems a plus
• Understand the importance of diagnosis and repair versus parts replacement
• Excellent work ethic
