Job summary

United Site Services in the United States is seeking a Trailer Technician to transport restroom and shower trailers to customer sites, ensuring water, drainage and electrical systems are operational at installation and handling maintenance during rental.

You will perform setup/breakdown, restock supplies, troubleshoot issues, and clean units while maintaining truck logs and safety standards. Two years' commercial driving, CDL A, forklift certification, and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
  • CDL with a class A endorsement.
  • Valid forklift certification required.
  • Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection and report deficiencies.
  • Operate delivery truck to and from designated work sites.
  • Maintain contact with Hub Manager or Office Administrator for updates.
  • Deliver and set up comfort stations at events, then breakdown and return units.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC issues during service.
  • Restock supplies and clean interior/exterior of units.
  • Maintain truck logs according to regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Purpose

The Trailer Technician transports restroom and shower trailers to customer locations. This position ensures water, drainage, and electrical are operational at time of installation. Trailer Technicians perform any maintenance and janitorial needs for trailer throughout duration of rental before transporting back to a United Site Services (USS) branch at end of rental.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to shop immediately. Also, report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Mechanic/Operations Supervisor/Manager.
  • Operate delivery truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with Hub Manager or Office Administrator to receive additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc.
  • Deliver comfort stations to or pick up from event location, completing set up and breakdown of all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues which may arrive during delivery, servicing or pick-up of comfort stations, which may include basic electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC.
  • Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in units being serviced and service/repair comfort stations.
  • Clean interior and exterior of units.
  • Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid Driver License (CDL with a class A endorsement).
  • Valid forklift certification required.
  • Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
Physical Requirements

  • Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head.
  • Crouch and squat.
  • Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally.

Salary Range

$21.66 – $30.33 / hour

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
