Job summary

W.W.Williams is seeking a Trailer Technician in Albuquerque, New Mexico, responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial semi-trailers and box trucks.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of automotive mechanic experience preferred.
  • Practical application of machines and tools, including their designs and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste safety methods.

  • Perform welding, brazing, cutting, and using various hand and specialty shop tools.
  • Conduct DOT inspections and maintain compliance with safety regulations.

Trailer Technician Opportunity Summary

Trailer Technician performs diagnostics, repairs, fabrication, welding and maintenance on commercial semi-trailers and box trucks including brake systems, lighting, bodywork, suspension components, and more.

Job Duties
  • Diagnose and repairs electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on trailers, box trucks, and accessory components such as lift gates, loading ramps, etc.
  • Regularly perform welding, brazing, cutting, torching, drilling, measuring and various usage of hand tools and specialty shop tools.
  • Performs DOT inspections and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintains accurate service records and communicates with service advisors.
  • Adheres to CT Power safety policies and uses proper PPE and tools.
  • Collaborates with team members to resolve complex repair issues.
  • Maintains accurate record of parts usage and returns tools and parts to designated locations.
  • Participates in ongoing training to stay updated on trailer technology.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work space and toolbox.
  • Promotes CT Power services and products in a professional manner.
  • Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives to maintain dealership status.
  • Follows all auto and equipment safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
  • At all times, promotes a positive image of CT Power and its employees.
Work Experience & Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • One to three years of automotive mechanic experience, preferred.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Knowledge of the practical application of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety methods in working with hazardous waste materials and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe and secure technical operations within the vehicular mechanical field.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction and repair of truck and trailer systems.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software including applications and programming.
