Job summary

Dart Network in Lancaster, TX is seeking a full-time mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet, including electrical systems and brakes. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, repair and maintenance of fleet including electrical and brakes
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs.
• Diagnosing, repairing, or replacing electrical and air systems on trailers; body and rail repairs.
• Write itemized "story" to summarize each repair performed.
• Follow all DOT, State & Federal requirements and company standards.
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
• Good mechanical aptitude and work ethic needed
• Contribute to the goals of the shop, leadership team and company
• Properly clocks on and off applicable repair orders and repair segments.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• 2-5 years of mechanic experience on heavy-duty trucks
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Regularly required to use hands to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
• Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
