Job summary

MGS Incorporated is seeking an Entry Level Trailer Service Mechanic in Fort Collins to perform basic trailer repairs and routine maintenance. You will work on bearing pack service, electric brake repairs, body work, electrical diagnostics, welding, DOT inspections, and pre-delivery inspections, recording hours and descriptions on RO’s as you go.

The role emphasizes a positive attitude, teamwork, and customer service, with on-the-job training and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge required.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality.
• Customer service oriented approach is essential.
• Valid Driver’s License is required (License/Certification).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic trailer repairs and maintenance as listed.
• Record descriptions and hours of all work performed on RO’s.
• Operate shop equipment and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Inspect DOT-related items and perform inspections.
• Diagnose issues and provide recommendations for repairs.
• Move trailers in and out of the shop using a yard truck.

We are seeking an Entry Level Trailer Service Mechanic for our Fort Collins shop to perform basic trailer repairs and maintenance of the following:

• Bearing pack service
• Electric brake repairs and maintenance
• Body work (side panel, trim, etc.)
• Electrical systems repairs and diagnostic
• Welding
• DOT Inspections
• Diagnose & provide recommendations on repairs
• New Trailer PDI’s (pre-delivery inspections)
• Accurately record description & hours of all work performed on RO’s
• Operate shop equipment
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment
• Perform additional duties as needed
• Operate forklift and yard tractor

Requirements

Trailer Service Mechanic Requirements:

• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Customer Service driven.
• Ready to work at start of shift.
• Able to move trailers in & out of the shop with yard truck.
• Able to follow work instructions & direction from supervisor.
• Valid Driver’s License & a satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to pass post-offer physical & drug screen.

Requirements

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating Saturday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fort Collins, CO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
