Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Trailer Technician/Mechanic in Port St. Lucie, FL to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers.

The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, inspecting for safety and compliance, and documenting work orders. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on trailer maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver’s license; you’ll need to own your personal toolbox and work well both independently and with the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience performing class 7-8 trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical if required

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $26.00 – $33.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday: 10:00pm - 6:30am *overnight shift

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
