Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a certified or licensed mechanic specializing in trailers.
- Proficient knowledge of vehicle systems, including hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical strength and experience with hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Assess and repair mechanical defects to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
- Conduct and document DOT inspections and repairs for customers.
- Prepare material lists for needed repairs.
- Handle electrical, brake systems, suspensions, landing gears, lift gates, PM inspections.
- Perform T1 inspections on trailers, troubleshoot, repair, weld as needed.
- Diagnose and repair trailer, hitching, and vehicle electrical problems; routine maintenance.
