Job summary

Job description

Overview

Shift Available: Sunday - Friday | 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM; Monday - Thursday | 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

Salary: $31.25 - $35.25/hour.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and service on 48ft and 53ft dry van trailers, including components such as: suspension and running gear, landing gear, wheel components, brake and air systems, electrical, lighting, wiring, rear frame and doors, side, nose and roof, interior and floor components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Maintain high welding and metal fabrication skills.
  • Perform service calls and wash, fuel, and road‑test vehicles to ensure quality repair services.
  • Assist, guide, and direct junior technicians.
  • Take responsibility for shop, grounds, and equipment upkeep.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment compliant with OSHA and company standards.
  • Record all work and labor in the EMS system.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure proper inventory levels of materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Comply with EPA, DOT, and company safety requirements.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties or assignments as needed.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a service center and shop environment. Duties may include standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, and using hand and power tools, with work performed independently or in team settings as appropriate.
