Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician I to perform basic maintenance, service and repair on trailers, containers, and chassis under close supervision.

You will follow standard repair times, complete work orders, and ensure compliance with company standards while working outdoors on multiple shifts as needed. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in semi-trailer maintenance, can supply tools, and are comfortable with air brake systems and FHWA inspections.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance or equivalent.
• Able to supply own basic tools or via toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements and across shifts, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections.
• Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and follow SRT/warranty guidelines.
• Understand and follow all shop safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
