Hwy 71 Trailer Superstore in Clarinda, IA is seeking a Lot Technician to maintain the lot and trailer appearance, unload deliveries, and assist with trailer hookups and test drives. You will work with a small, collaborative team focused on quality and safety on-site.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers. A valid driver’s license is required for testing trailers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Mechanical aptitude to test systems and perform basic repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and in small teams with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers and parts from freight trucks and deliveries; arrange for display or storage.
• Assemble trailer components, adding tires, toolboxes, and jacks as needed.
• Test trailer systems and resolve issues, escalating to Service Technician when necessary; test driving as required.
• Wash trailers to maintain a great appearance for customers.
• Maintain a tidy and organized lot, including snow removal and landscaping.
• Assist in trailer hookup to hitch and testing of systems; teach safe practices.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety procedures; perform other duties as needed.
