Job summary

St Dedicated Transport Llc is seeking experienced Trailer / Intermodal Chassis Mechanics in Jacksonville, FL. You will inspect, troubleshoot and maintain intermodal chassis and 53' dry vans, perform safety inspections, and interpret work orders.

The role requires 2+ years of trailer repair experience (chassis, containers), FMCSA know-how, brake and tire replacement skills, and you must own a basic set of hand tools. Bilingual Spanish optional; overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in PMs and repairs.
• Must own your own tools (Basic set of Hand Tools).
• 2+ years' experience in trailer repair (Chassis, Containers, etc.). FMCSA, brake replacement/repair, and tire replacement/repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on intermodal chassis and 53' dry vans.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents per FMCSA and regulations.
• Interpret work orders and replace chassis/trailer tires when needed.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components; test repaired equipment for proper performance.

Family Owned Growing Shipping Container Depot is seeking Trailer / Intermodal Chassis Mechanics

Responsibilities will include:

-Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on Intermodal Chassis as well as 53' Dry Vans -Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations -Interpret work orders

• Replace chassis / trailer tires when needed -Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems -Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations

Requirements / Qualifications:

Experience in PMs and repairs * Must be able to lift 50lbs Must own your own tools (Basic set of Hand Tools) 2 plus Years' experience of Trailer repair (Chassis, Containers, etc.) FMCSA, Brake replacement/repair, and tire replacement/ repair experience. -Fabrication and welding skills, is a plus
