Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years experience for Specialist I; three years for II in related fields.
  • Valid Class A CDL with N endorsement within 180 days.
  • Ability to work outdoors in traffic and travel statewide.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect contractor methods and maintain traffic signals and illumination systems.
  • Design and review traffic signal or data collection projects; advise on improvements.
  • Attend meetings with engineers and contractors to resolve issues.
  • Drive a bucket truck to install and repair devices.
  • Prepare written reports on system status and inventory.
  • Administer contracts for installation and maintenance (for II).
