Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Signing, Pavement Marking, and Signalization Engineer to lead FDOT-based signing and traffic signal design in Florida. You will seal plans, manage quantities, and ensure adherence to FDOT standards on complex road projects.

The role offers a hybrid work model with flexibility to work from multiple Florida offices, including Tampa, Orlando, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or Tallahassee. Experience with FDOT processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; 4 years of related experience or equivalent
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain via comity
• Progressive experience in signing, pavement markings, and traffic signalization; FDOT experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and Engineer of Record for signing, pavement marking, and signalization design on FDOT, Turnpike, and local projects
• Prepare, review, and seal signing & pavement marking plans, signalization plans and related quantities/details
• Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, PPM, TEM, MUTCD Florida Edition, and FDOT specifications
