MB HAYNES Corporation in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician to install, operate, and maintain electrical, electronic, and digital signal and lighting systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining signal control devices and related equipment in outdoor environments.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pass background and drug screening, and work with diverse teams while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the jobsite, inspectors, customers, and the public.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all types of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as dump trucks, air compressors, and bucket trucks.
• Interpret plans to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
• Wire, assemble, and repair signal poles, arms, heads and loops.
• Install cabinets on concrete bases and change controllers/relays as needed.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Transport equipment to and from the work site.
• Cross-train and perform related duties.
