Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Columbus, Ohio, seeks a Traffic Signal Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems and street lighting, ensuring compliance with IMSA standards and NEC guidelines.

You will diagnose electrical issues with meters and testers, coordinate with municipalities, and perform preventive maintenance while supporting after-hours emergency responses. A CDL or the willingness to obtain one is required within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans (L2-L3).
• Able to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers (L2-L3).
• Able to operate various equipment (Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick/Boom Trk) (L2-L3).
• Willing to obtain a Class A or B CDL within 120 days of hire.
• IMSA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems and related equipment per IMSA standards.
• Troubleshoot street lighting systems and perform lamp replacement and circuit diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical issues in control devices using diagnostic tools.
• Oversee wiring and rewiring of intersections and components per NEC.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document field changes.
