Louisiana DOTD is hiring for an Electrical/ITS Technician to maintain and repair traffic signals and related equipment. The role involves programming controllers, inspecting equipment, and supporting project work with engineering staff.

Requires two years of relevant experience or training, FCC radio-telephone license where applicable, and CompTIA A+ certification with related experience. Salary is $24.10 per hour.

Competenze

• Two years of experience or training in maintenance or repair of electronic/electrical systems.
• Two years of experience or training in installation or repair of computer equipment or systems.
• Possession of a CompTIA A+ Certification with one year of related experience.

Mansioni

• Perform maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance on traffic signals and ITS devices daily.
• Visually inspect equipment for safety defects and estimate repairs feasibility.
• Assist on traffic signal projects and manage inventory for emergency repairs.
• Program signal controllers and transfer timing databases with engineering support.
