Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro seeks a Traffic Safety Protector to work with a team at various job sites ensuring safety and traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training will be provided.

The role involves outdoor activity, cone/sign/barricade setup, and directing traffic with stop/slow paddles. Compensation is $17.65–$19.50 per hour with overtime opportunities and paid training including traffic safety certification.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift 40–50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in traffic and diverse weather conditions.
  • Flexible schedule and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test.
  • Alertness around moving traffic and commitment to safety rules.
  • Respectful attitude towards coworkers, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and dismantling cones, signs, and barricades.
  • Guiding traffic with stop/slow paddles.
  • Adhering to safety procedures learned during training.
  • Communicating effectively with crew and supervisors.
  • Maintaining vehicle and equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
