The company’s services include traffic control planning, permit coordination, lane closures, flagging operations, and temporary traffic control device setup and maintenance. New Limits also manages detour implementation and offers 24/7 emergency traffic management support to keep projects on schedule. The team supplies and oversees signage, barricades, message boards, cones, and other essential equipment to maintain safety and clear communication for motorists, pedestrians, and work crews.

Role Description

The Traffic Safety Flagger is a contract, on-site role located in Avon, CO. In this role, the flagger will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction and work zones, using signs, paddles, and hand signals to maintain safety and steady flow. The position involves setting up, monitoring, and removing traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signage according to established traffic plans. The flagger will closely coordinate with road crews and supervisors, communicate changing conditions, and respond promptly to safety concerns. Daily responsibilities also include remaining alert to hazards, following all company and regulatory safety guidelines, and maintaining a professional presence with the public and project partners. This is a contract position for a project in Avon, CO that is scheduled to be completed in November 2026.

Qualifications

Must be 18+ with valid ID and current flagger certification card with them on site. Flagger card must be from a CDOT authorized agency.
