Job summary

LIN Consulting, Inc. in Tustin, CA is seeking an experienced Traffic Project Engineer for a permanent full-time role.

You will assist with drafting, fieldwork, plans and reports, and cost estimates for traffic engineering and transportation planning projects. Responsibilities include traffic signal design, signing, pavement delineation, roadway lighting, traffic control, ITS plans, and traffic analysis for Caltrans and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in traffic engineering design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification is desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting, fieldwork, and preparation of plans and reports.
• Prepare cost estimates for traffic engineering projects.
• Assist on traffic signal design, signing, pavement delineation, roadway lighting, and ITS plans.
• Contribute to traffic analysis and traffic reports for Caltrans and local agencies.

LIN Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experiences, motivated, and responsible Traffic Project Engineer for a permanent Full-Time position for our Tustin office. LIN Consulting specializes in all aspects of traffic engineering and planning, as well as civil and electrical engineering, and provides services to LA Metro, Caltrans, counties, cities, and private owners and developers in the Southern California area. The position offers an excellent opportunity for the technical growth.

Your Role:

The qualified applicant will assist with drafting, fieldwork, preparation of plans and reports and cost estimate for traffic engineering and transportation planning projects. Tasks would include assisting on traffic signal design, signing, pavement delineation, roadway lighting, traffic control and ITS plans, as well as traffic analysis and traffic reports for Caltrans and local agencies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in traffic engineering design
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Have an E.I.T. or in the process of obtaining one is highly desirable
