Job summary

City of Houston, Office of The City Engineer, is seeking an Engineer to support traffic and mobility projects within the Infrastructure Design Manual, focusing on the city’s right of way. You will coordinate traffic engineering review activities, review traffic studies and development plans, supervise graduate engineers, and interact with consultants, developers, contractors and the public in meetings.

Requires Texas PE license, 4 years post-graduate experience, and eligibility to obtain Texas

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an approved engineering curriculum with satisfactory standing; OR graduation in engineering/related science and FE exam with eight-hour FE.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic engineering review activities and traffic group personnel.
• Review Access Management submissions, Traffic Impact Studies, and development/private/public plans for CIP and ROW compliance.
• Provide guidance to consultants, developers, contractors, and the public on engineering design requirements.
• Supervise graduate engineers and assist Supervising/Managing Engineers with tasks and special projects.
