Job summary

AECOM Transportation is expanding its Southeast team to deliver safe, cost-effective highway projects across the region. We seek engineers and CAD designers at multiple levels to contribute to design, traffic signaling, and signing/pavement marking work.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
• Junior level requires BS + 2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Senior level requires BS + 10 years of related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation design on large highway projects.
• Collaborate on signing and pavement marking design and traffic signals.
• Prepare traffic engineering drawings and plans using MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Assist with design reviews and coordination across disciplines.

Summary

We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Traffic Engineers and Designers to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.

Key roles include:

• Junior level, mid-level and senior level Traffic Engineers (including signing & pavement markings and traffic signals)
• Traffic CAD Designers (including signing & marking design and traffic signal design)

Desired skillsets include:

• Experience in large Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects, specifically highway transportation projects
• Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
• Experience with traffic signal design
• Experience in signing / pavement marking design. Experience in Interstate design, and complex interchanges preferred.

Qualifications

CAD Designers:

• BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Junior Level Engineers:

• BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Mid-Level Engineers:

• BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads:

• BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT Certification or PE License
• State DOT experience
• Knowledge and prior use of the AASHTO Green Book and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
