Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Traffic Engineering in Miami, FL. You will assist with traffic/transportation project work and gain exposure to traffic impact studies, parking studies, and signal design.

Assignments may include field work, data collection, and preparation of figures and graphics for the Site/Civil group. Preference given to Jr./Sr. students or MS degree candidates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering/Transportation Planning.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Familiarity with HCS, SYNCHRO and MUTCD is desirable.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or SoftDesk is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic observation and data collection.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, design plans and specifications for traffic projects.
• Observe construction activities.
• Assist with other duties as requested.
