Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of traffic experience to join the Transportation/Traffic team. This on-site role offers exposure to transportation planning, ITS, and project delivery.

You will perform traffic studies, support project management, and contribute to marketing and business development while mentoring others as part of a growing practice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of traffic engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.).
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software applications.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks for transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and ITS projects.
• Help grow the practice and mentor others while delivering quality work.
• Assist with managing projects profitability.
• Engage in hands-on practice and delivery of projects.
