The City of Arvada promotes Equal Pay for Equal Work. Starting salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The range listed reflects the entire range and typical placement is entry to mid range.
Pay Range: $82,904.79-$113,359.58 Annual
Placement for Traffic Engineer I, II, III will be based on certifications and experience.
Salary for Traffic Engineer I: $82,905 - $113,360
Salary for Traffic Engineer II: $96,610 - $125,262
Salary for Traffic Engineer III: $101,229 - $138,415

Basic knowledge of principles and practices of traffic and transportation engineering, including standards, policies, and technical issues. Basic knowledge of public works practices and procedures, planning, and administration. Basic knowledge in preparing and negotiating routine contractor and vendor contracts. Knowledge and ability in the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Ability to prioritize multiple and changing work requests while meeting the many needs of the customers/users. Ability to exercise sound initiative and judgment as well as make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
