Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking a Traffic Engineer to lead design of traffic signals and electrical systems, improving safety and efficiency for complex infrastructure projects. You will perform capacity analyses and safety studies, contributing to high-impact transportation solutions.

The role requires a BSCE and PE license, with 6–20+ years in traffic engineering. You will collaborate with State and Municipal clients, develop construction plans, and support business growth with innovative proposals.

Qualifications

• BSCE and PE license are required.
• 6 to 20+ years of traffic engineering experience, with a focus on signal design.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with client-facing proficiency.
• Proficiency in traffic analysis and delivering professional deliverables that meet client standards.

Responsibilities

• Design the traffic signal and electrical systems to improve safety and efficiency.
• Perform intersection and roadway capacity analyses using HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic.
• Conduct crash analyses and Highway Safety Manual assessments to enhance safety.
• Develop conceptual construction staging options and traffic control plans to keep projects on track.
• Provide staffing augmentation and support to State and Municipal clients, ensuring project goals are met.
• Assist in proposal writing and contribute to business development with innovative ideas.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and a valid PE license.
