Job summary

Kolbe Striping is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to manage traffic flow through Colorado construction sites. Your duties include developing routing plans, placing signs, and directing traffic with clear hand, sign, and flag signals to keep workers safe and operations efficient.

The role combines supervisory responsibilities with laborer duties when not supervising. Candidates must hold Colorado TC Supervisor and Flagger certifications, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Colorado Traffic Control Supervisor Certification (ATSSA) required.
• Active Colorado Flagger Certification required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop traffic routing plans and implement control points per project needs.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers along the site in designated patterns.
• Direct movement of traffic through the site using signs, hand signals, and flag signals.
• Warn laborers and drivers when signals are not being observed to prevent accidents.
• Inform drivers of detour routes and maintain safe, efficient flow through construction zones.

Job description

Purpose of position: Controls movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects by performing the following duties.Essential duties/responsibilities:Develops, interprets and implements traffic routing plans or MHT, and type and location of control points from TCS 3, Crew Leader or Project Manager.Distributes traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.Warns laborers and drivers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.Records license number of traffic control violators for police.Gives hand marker to last driver in line up of one-way traffic for Flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic.Gives direction to flaggers.When not working as a TCS, will perform Laborer work as directed.
