Job summary

Pavement Preservation Group is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to safely direct traffic around work zones and help maintain smooth project flow. The role involves using signs, flags, and hand signals, setting up cones and signage, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour for full-time work, with significant overtime opportunities during peak season from March through October.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid, clean driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and AZ heat.
• Must successfully complete a flagging course.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove cones, barricades, and traffic control signage.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Communicate effectively with crew, drivers, and pedestrians.

The Traffic Control Flagger is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow within and around work zones. This role involves directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour - Full-Time

Schedule: Significant overtime opportunities available, particularly during the peak season from March through October.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely direct traffic using signs, flags, and hand signals

• Set up and remove cones, barricades, and traffic control signage
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
• Communicate effectively with crew members, drivers, and pedestrians
• Monitor work zones for potential hazards and report any incidents

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong communication and attention to detail

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Capable of standing for extended periods
• Safety-focused with a commitment to following procedures

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid, clean driver’s license
• Able to work outdoors with the AZ heat
• Ability to travel extensively to job sites throughout Arizona and outside the state as needed.
• Willingness to stay overnight for up to a week at a time, occasionally up to two weeks.Clean driver’s license(3–5 years, no violations)
• Must successfully complete a flagging course.
• Traffic control experience is a plus
