Role Summary

The Traffic Control Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing yard operations, and ensuring traffic control materials are available and properly accounted for.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload traffic control materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and inventory records.
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Organize and maintain yard appearance and cleanliness.
• Track material movement and equipment usage.
• Prepare materials for field deployment.
• Inspect equipment and report damage or shortages.
• Operate forklifts and yard equipment as trained.
• Support receiving and shipping activities.
• Maintain safe work practices throughout yard operations.

Experience and Physical Requirements

• Experience with inventory, warehouse, or yard operations preferred.
• Ability to load, unload, and move materials safely.
• Strong attention to detail and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, traffic, and moving equipment.
• Ability to work near active roadways and traffic conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and travel as required based on business needs.
