Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of traffic control experience
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are a must
• Dependable transportation to and from work sites
• Strong work ethic, ability to follow instructions, and respect for leadership
• Ability to multitask and function well in a team-oriented environment
• Willingness to travel within assigned region for daily job assignments
• Must wear PPE at all times (boots, hard hat, high-visibility vest)
• Knowledge of basic safety regulations and work zone practices

Responsibilities

• Follow directions from supervisor regarding daily job assignments and procedures
• Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices per DOT standards and plans
• Conduct flagging operations and manage vehicle movement in construction zones
• Assist in setup and breakdown of lane closures and detours
• Read and interpret traffic control plans and detour instructions
• Ensure safety for workers and motorists and react to unsafe conditions
• Inform motorists of detours and changes when required
• Maintain and inspect traffic control equipment on company trucks
• Drive company vehicles to job sites if authorized
• Provide high level of customer service and professional appearance
• Support crew members to maintain overall safety and performance
• Travel within region for daily assignments
