Job summary

SCI, a Congruex Company, is seeking a Traffic Control Designer to join our construction team in the United States. The role emphasizes organization, timeliness, accuracy, and safety in traffic management planning.

You will design traffic control plans, use Invarion or AutoCAD, review specs, coordinate with project managers, and ensure regulatory compliance across local, state, and federal levels.

Qualifications

• ATSSA Traffic Control Design Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of MUTCD standards and local traffic control regulations.
• Proficiency in traffic control design software like Invarion or AutoCAD.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and site plans.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Excellent communication for internal and external collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic control plans per ATSSA and MUTCD guidelines.
• Create plans using Invarion or similar CAD tools.
• Assess project specs and site conditions to choose controls.
• Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Update plans based on field conditions or client requests.
• Provide technical support to crews on site implementations.
• Prepare permit and regulatory documentation.
• Assist in estimating traffic control costs for bids.
• Perform quality checks for safety and compliance.
• Stay current with ATSSA standards and MUTCD updates.
