Job summary

Traffic Lane Closures, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice in Baton Rouge, LA. This hands-on role supports field crews and helps ensure public safety on roadways.

You will lift heavy materials, operate hand tools, and follow precise directions from supervisors while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Candidates should be able to work nights and weekends as required, possess reliable transportation, and be prepared to travel occasionally for assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Must arrive on time for scheduled shifts and have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends and travel infrequently with notice.
• Must have fine motor skills for tightening nuts and bolts and using hand tools.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Must follow supervisor directions and safety practices at all times.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be a team player.

Traffic Control Apprentice

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+/- hours)
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8+/- hours)
• Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as requested
• Must be able to travel out of town as needed (infrequently), provided ample notice (48 hours) is given.
• Must have fine motor skills and hand dexterity (i.e., tightening nuts and bolts, using hand tools, filling out paperwork)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screenings
• Must be capable of following specific directions from supervisor
• Interested in improving industry knowledge
• Must exhibit good judgment in the field including safe work practices around live traffic and adhere to the company policies and procedures at all times
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must have the ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required
• Must have the ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements
• Must have a cooperative, team player attitude
• Must be able to follow other duties as assigned by management or trainers
