Atlas Search in New York, NY is seeking a Market Risk/Trade Assistant to join the Trading Risk & Control team within Capital Markets, supporting an interest rate derivatives trading floor.

This hands-on role offers close collaboration with traders, quants, and financial analysts across major currencies and products, focusing on valuation, risk measurement, and control enhancements to improve processes and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field as listed.
• 5+ years of fixed income experience, preferably with derivatives exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Greeks, MTM, P&L attribution and derivatives valuation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor global markets and assess impact on trading portfolios.
• Perform daily valuation of derivatives portfolios including MTM and P&L attribution.
• Develop and maintain interest rate curves for pricing and risk.
• Apply understanding of derivatives valuation and market risk methodologies.
• Conduct monthly valuation analyses using external data and internal models.
• Identify opportunities to streamline controls and processes.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and analysts across the trading floor.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
