Job summary

Mission Staffing seeks a Credit Investment Specialist in New York to operate at the intersection of portfolio management, trading, research, treasury, middle office, and compliance. The role demands strong credit market experience and direct PM/trader support in a credit context.

The candidate will work with bonds, loans, mezzanine, and structured credit products, analyzing spreads, YTM, OID/PIK, and covenant structures to support investment decisions and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio managers or traders in credit context; assist throughout the trade lifecycle from origination through portfolio monitoring
• Analyze credit instruments including bonds, term loans, revolvers, delayed draw facilities, mezzanine, and structured credit products
• Assess credit fundamentals: spreads, yield to maturity, OID/PIK mechanics, leverage and coverage metrics, covenant structures

Job description

This is a critical role sitting at the intersection of portfolio management, trading, research, treasury, middle office, and compliance — with deep exposure to the full credit investment lifecycle across performing loans, distressed debt, special situations, and structured credit.

— 3+ years of experience within an investment group, middle office, or investment operations role at an asset manager, bank, CLO manager, or similar credit-focused platform

— Direct experience supporting portfolio managers or traders in a credit context; familiarity with the full trade lifecycle from origination through portfolio monitoring

— Strong understanding of credit instruments including bonds, term loans, revolving credit facilities, delayed draw facilities, mezzanine, preferred, and structured credit products

— Solid grasp of credit fundamentals including spread analysis, yield to maturity, OID, PIK mechanics, leverage and coverage metrics, and covenant structures
